You're Inspiring

Fun for coloring!  I really enjoy coloring, especially when I need some relaxation therapy.  Whew.

This set comes ready to cover many occasions.  Easter, Mother's Day, Birthday and just because.  We really need some "Just Because" stamps, because I like to send cards, just because!

Tutti Frutti Designer Series Paper - 5" x 3 1/4"

I colored the flowers with Stampin' Blends - Daffodil Delight and Old Olive with Dark Pumpkin Pie for the flower centers.

Party Panda... yes, again!

These panda cards are just going to keep popping up.

This one was actually designed from one of the Make & Takes we did at a team meeting in December, but mine came out as a disaster (see the last picture in this post) so I knew I had to do it again and do it right!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Tutti-frutti Designer Series Paper - 5" x 1" (punched with Banner Triple Punch)
Whisper White Cardstock - die cut with Stitched Shapes (circle - just under 2")
Tutti-frutti DSP - punched with Balloon Punch (small balloon)

Stamp the Panda with the balloon onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  You only have to stamp the panda and just a bit of the string.  No need to stamp the whole thing.  Then using your Stitched Shapes Circle, die cut the panda.  After you've placed the Panda Circle onto the dotted DSP, you can hand draw the string and attach the punched balloon.

Inside I used more of the dotted paper and stamped the sentiment from Big on Birthdays.

This is what happened to my Make & Take, it is what happens when you rush and don't line the stamp up properly with the paper!

See his hand and ear are stamped too high.  Sorry little guy!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Monday (and another holiday for us!)

Picture Perfect Birthday

Have you checked out this great Designer Series Paper yet?  It's called Picture Perfect Party and I love all the papers inside this set!  Sadly the sample doesn't show a very good picture of the pages, but I've used some of them here and I'll do more tomorrow.  Seems I need to build up my birthday stash anyway, so this will be a perfect way to do so!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Solid Layer (I used Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist) - 5" x 3 3/4"
Designer Series Paper - 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"

Stamps:  Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Ink:  Berry Burst and Bermuda Bay

Framelits:  Stitched Shapes and Layering Ovals

Below - the DSP is 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" (to make a bigger mat behind it)

Thank you for looking in today.  May you have a Blessed Sunday!

Party with a Panda

Today I tried a couple of different ideas with the Party Panda's.  I have a favorite of the two I made, let's see which one you like best.

Recipe (Dot Card):
Basic Black - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4"
Petal Passion Designer Series Paper - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Pacific Point - 3 3/4" x 2 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 1/2" x 2"

Recipe (Vine Card):
Basic Black - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Petal Passion Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4" x 4"
Pacific Point - 4 1/4" x 2 1/4"
Whisper White - 4" x 2"

If you look closely, although it isn't a great picture, there is shading inside the Pandas belly and face.  I used my Basic Gray watercolor pencil and Blender Pen to smooth it out and to give some depth to the Panda.

The hat is colored with Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers.

The Panda's are FREE with a minimum order of $50.00 (before shipping and tax).  Each $50 you spend will allow you to choose another freebie from the Sale-a-bration booklet.

Here they are side by side - which one do you like better?

Thank you for checking in today!  It's finally Friday!

Heartfelt Blooms Birthday

Sale-a-bration time has be be one of my favorite times during the Stampin' Up! year, right next to the new catalog in June (May for Demonstrators!).

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards made with Heartfelt Blooms.

Recipe:
Sweet Sugarplum - 8 1/2" x5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Fresh Fig - 4 1/8" x 2 7/8"
Whisper White - 4" x 2 1/2"

Stamps:
Heartfelt Blooms (FREE with $50.00 order before tax and shipping)
Butterfly Basics

Ink:  Sweet Sugarplum and Fresh Fig

This stamp is so cool.  You would think that it is stamped off to get that soft look, but it stamps just the way you see it with full ink.  It is really beautiful!

Since I figured I'd have to practice a few times (which I didn't need to do at all), I cut extra Whisper White and stamped up some extras, so made two cards today and I have more ready to assemble later.

I popped up the Fresh Fig / Whisper White panel with Stampin' Dimensionals and the background is something I haven't done in a while.  Can you guess what it is?

Thank you for looking in today.  The weekend is getting closer and so is our first workshop of the year.  I can hardly wait to get together with the girls again and do some stamping.

(the background... VersaMark)  When was the last time you used it on your cards or projects?  Dig it out again and give it a go.  It always adds a little extra.

Valentine Jar of Love

This sweet little card comes from my upline, Lorri Heiling.  One of my stampers (Linda) spotted it and it was just too cute to pass up.  Valentine's Day will be here faster than we know and you'll want to get a head start on those special cards.

Recipe:
Real Red - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"

I used scraps for the hearts - Melon Mambo, Real Red, Sweet Sugarplum, Pink Pirouette.  Just use whatever you have that will match up nicely.

The hearts were cut using the die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  It cuts several at a time, so it won't take long to get lots of little hearts.  Plus, I found I was able to cut two colors at a time without too much hard cranking on the Big Shot.

Stamps:  Jar of Love and Labels to Love.  Labels to Love is from the 2017 Holiday Mini, but it is carrying over to the spring!  Yay!

Now, don't freak out on me here.... but... I cut the LOVE stamp into individual letters.  You could work with a perfectly clean stamp and just ink one letter at a time, cleaning it well in between so you don't get a shadow from the previous letter.

A little extra that I added to my card was to add some lines to the hearts that are coming out through the lip of the jar.  If you just glue them down on the ridges there, they won't look like their coming from inside the jar.  So, once they are glue down, I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and drew on the lines.  You can also see a little bit of Clear Wink of Stella on a few of the hearts.

In Phoenix today, we're all watching the sky for clouds and rain!  We have an actual 90% chance of rain over night tonight.  We rarely have a 90% chance of rain.  It's so exciting.  May have to have a party to celebrate!  LOL  I'd rather it be in the daytime, but we're so dry around here we'll take whatever we can get!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Tuesday!
